Easy 10K registration

Signed up for the 10K. Website was easy to use. Confirmation came fast. Got my packet quickly. Race day was well organized. No issues.

Consistently great race

This was my third time running the Santa Rosa Half Marathon. I've always found the registration process reliable; it's the same platform each year. This time I added the Race Photos Package, and the quality was definitely better than my previous experiences where I just relied on free shots. The course consistency is a big draw for me, I know what to expect with the rolling hills and scenic vineyards. Packet pickup was also as smooth as previous years. It's why I keep coming back for this race over others in California.

Chill race, good vibes

So I did the 5K with some friends, mainly for fun. Signing up was super easy on their site, no weird glitches or anything. Got my Official Event T-Shirt with my packet, and it's actually pretty comfy, not some scratchy thing. The whole atmosphere on race day was really laid back but still felt organized. We grabbed some extra beer tickets for after and just hung out. It was a good time, definitely felt worth it for a relaxed run. The course was nice, not too crowded.

Good Marathon Experience Overall

I registered for the Full Marathon and also got the VIP Upgrade this year. The registration process itself was smooth, I used the Active platform and it was straightforward. My packet arrived about a week before the race, which was convenient. Included were my bib, safety pins, and some basic info. The Finisher Full-Zip Jacket I ordered separately arrived on time as well; the quality felt decent, pretty standard for race gear. On race day, the VIP tent was a nice touch, offering a quieter space and some extra snacks before the start. Support on the course was good, plenty of water stations and volunteers. The course itself was scenic, ran through some nice vineyards. My only minor issue was finding parking even with the Race Day Parking Pass, took a little circling. Overall, a solid event for a BQ attempt.

Best Race Day Ever!

Oh my goodness, I ran the Half Marathon and it was fantastic! The views were amazing, just loved running through the wine country. Everything was so well organized. I even bought the Post-Race Wine Festival Tickets and had such a blast after finishing. I will absolutely register again next year, maybe even for the full! Totally recommending this to all my running friends!

What's the deal with deferring your entry? My work schedule is a bit up in the air for next year and I'm worried about committing.

M Mary Rivera 3 weeks ago
They let you defer, yeah. Did it once myself, pretty straightforward process. Just gotta do it by their deadline.

You can defer your entry for sure. I think there's a small fee or something, but it saves you from losing your whole registration if plans change. Check their policy for the exact dates.

Anyone know if you can stack promo codes? I have an ambassador code but also saw something about a running club discount.

N Nathan P. 2 weeks ago
Nah, I tried that once, doesn't work. Only one code per registration, gotta pick your best saving.

L Laura White 2 weeks ago
Pretty sure it's just one promo code at checkout. They don't let you combine them, at least that's how it's been in the past.

Hey, I'm thinking about signing up for the full marathon. Is this actually a BQ course like they say?

A Adam D. 1 month ago
Yeah, it totally is. I qualified there last year, it's pretty flat, good for times.

Can confirm! My buddy got his BQ there two years ago. Definitely one of the better courses in California for it.

How does this race compare to the Napa Valley Marathon? Trying to decide which one to do next year.

E Emily L. 2 weeks ago
Napa is beautiful too, but I found Santa Rosa to be flatter overall, which is great if you're chasing a time. Plus, the wine festival is awesome.

Santa Rosa feels a bit bigger, more of a party atmosphere at the end. Napa is a little more low-key, but both are scenic. For a BQ attempt, I'd lean Santa Rosa.
